The students in 7th grade have been working with egg cells to understand how the cell membrane controls the movement of material into and out of the cell. During diffusion, substances move from an area of greater concentration to an area of lesser concentration. These lab activities help the students start learning about various lab equipment and procedures they will use in their studies. All students love to learn and some students learn better when they can do more hands on activities. The classrooms in Pickett County are all working with the Coordinated School Health personnel to try to incorporate more activities in the everyday learning.
