The 8th graders have been studying Rocks and The Fossil Record in class. Students were given the task of gridding off their sample boxes and excavating the contents of their personal archaeological dig site boxes.
The students enjoyed the diggings and the many unexpected surprises inside each sample dig boxes. There was enough excavated dirt on the floor to plant a small garden spot while everyone enjoyed themselves and that is what learning is all about.
